Summary:

As the 2 nd Legion of GDS, the Security Legion acts as the defenders and law enforcement personnel of GDS.

Embodying the primary mission of GDS, the Security Legion has its roots in the organization’s earliest days. At first, GDS was a company that contracted out bodyguards, bouncers, and event security staff. The most these personnel could expect to do was walk patrols, escort VIPs to operas, and toss the occasional drunkard out of a bar. Over time this responsibility grew to encompass large scale facility security, with early GDS personnel working to guard government facilities, federal offices, and critical infrastructure. With this newfound source of income spiking the budget, GDS took on more employees and in turn expanded services to include assisting law enforcement agencies, supplementing military base security, and securing recently liberated cities in warzones.

In time these personnel became the Security Legion, taking on every aspect of defense and security for both GDS and its clients. To this day the Security Legion holds the record for the largest number of contracts both past and present, with clients ranging from small town police precincts to well-known VIPs, all the way to the most powerful governments of our era.
Whether it be supplemental law enforcement, facility security, network security, or sensitive cargo transportation, the Security Legion oversees it all for over 50+ different countries. Within GDS they act as internal law enforcement and security, ensuring regulatory compliance, dolling out disciplinary actions, and settling disputes between both legionnaires and entire legions. Often the Security Legion is unfairly known as the “killjoys” of GDS, though this viewpoint is mostly restricted to Vanguards that had been found drunkenly throwing each other off the roof of their barracks while tied down to a mattress.

As part of this the Security Legion also maintains the Ledger of Infractions, a colossal record of every single regulatory violation within GDS. The ledger itself is digitally replicated across the entire GDS network, while also having a physical master copy that’s kept in a classified location.

Within the Security Legion are the following declassified special operations groups. As always, legionnaires who would like to know more information may consult with their commanders, send inquiries to the legion’s central comms channel, or attend the group’s selection courses should they be available.

DEF-SOG
Comprised of legionnaires who have been trained in special weapons and tactics, DEF-SOG are the elite rapid response team of the Security Legion. In the event that a threat needs neutralizing, a hostage needs rescuing, or a facility needs to be liberated from enemy possession, DEF-SOG are sent in to handle the situation. To support these tasks, DEF-SOG cross trains with the Vanguard Legion in the areas of direct assault tactics, EOD, marksmanship, and CQB.

TSR-3
Transportation Security Rangers.
When it comes to the secure transportation of highly sensitive materials, classified intel, at risk clients, or legionnaires in the midst of a warzone, TSR-3 ensures they all reach their destination intact no matter the situation or environment. To facilitate this, Ark Force and TSR-3 often train together to share tactics, tools and procedures.

W.A.R.D
Warzone Advancement Relief Division.
Comprised of elite Security Legion specialists, W.A.R.D oversees the security and restoration of areas affected by war. Working alongside the Medical Legion and Mechanical Legion, W.A.R.D puts all available effort into bringing communities and families back from the brink of devastation.

Shroud
Bodyguards that blend into their environment, Shroud is comprised of legionnaires who work to protect VIPs and high-risk clients without ever being seen or detected. To that end, Shroud often cross trains with the Intelligence Legion in a wide variety of disciplines.

Wrathguard
Comprised of the most elite legionnaires from across several legions, the Wrathguard are the security force that oversees the safety and protection of Arbiter Iza during times of travel and business. Other than their existence, there is not much else I am willing or able to disclose regarding their operations.
